Azza Fahmy teams up for new jewellery range

Luxury jewellery design house Azza Fahmy and British fashion designer Matthew Williamson are teaming up to unveil the ‘Azza Fahmy for Matthew Williamson’ collection of jewellery.

The collection will be available from November 2013 across Azza Fahmy retail outlets in the MEA and in the UK, selected Matthew Williamson boutiques and online from February 2014.

Azza Fahmy for Matthew Williamson is a nine piece capsule collection, featuring neck pieces, earrings, modernist oversized rings, and bracelets. Pairing Azza Fahmy’s culturally informed designs and craftsmanship with Matthew Williamson’s refined and spirited sense of glamour inspired by global and artistic influences. The inaugural collection draws inspiration from botanical prints, architectural forms and textures and will be available in sterling silver, gold plated as well as the Azza Fahmy trademarked 18ct gold on Sterling silver.

Stacked, fan and structural rings form mini architectural sculptures with motifs from Egypt and Iran.

Mesh pendant necklace and cuff combine art techniques inspired by an antique Omani belt.

The Silver coin necklace bracelet and earrings with Green Amethyst, Citrine, Garnets, Pink Tourmaline and Peridot stones and daisy motifs create delicate adornments which echo the prints in Matthew Williamson’s S/S14 collection.

Azza says “This chic collection reflects international influences and captures our mutual appreciation of nature. It features colourful semi-precious stones and quirky styling with a fresh attitude that compliments Matthew’s collection.” Matthew Williamson adds “It has been a really interesting process collaborating with Azza Fahmy and adding some of my design DNA in this collection of fine jewellery.”

Azza Fahmy for Matthew Williamson was unveiled in the Matthew Williamson Spring/Summer’14 catwalk show at London Fashion Week and will be followed with a second collection the Autumn/Winter 2014.
